Suzuki method

Suzuki method, style of musical instruction begun in the 1940s to teach very young children to play musical instruments. The method was initiated by Shinichi Suzuki, who believed that children could aquire musical skills as they do language, by listening and imitating. Parent involvement is an important component of the method.
