Edward Teller
Teller, Edward (1908– ), Hungarian-born U.S. nuclear physicist who worked with Enrico Fermi on nuclear fission at the start of the Manhattan Project, but is best known for his fundamental work on, and advocacy of, the hydrogen bomb. He also helped create the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) program in the 1980s.
