Dame Ellen Alicia Terry

Terry, Dame Ellen Alicia (1848–1928), English actress. Throughout more than 50 years on the stage, she performed often as Sir Henry Irving's leading lady, and is remembered for her roles as Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, and Desdemona in Othello.
