Theosophy

Theosophy (Greek, “divine wisdom”), mystical system of religious philosophy claiming direct insight into the divine nature. The speculations of such philosophers as Plotinus, Jakob Boehme, and Emanuel Swedenborg are often called theosophical, as are many Eastern philosophies. The Theosophical Society was founded in 1875 by Madame Helena Petrovna Blavatsky.
