Thomas à Kempis

Thomas à Kempis (Thomas Hermerken von Kempen; 1380–1471), German religious writer and Augustinian friar at Zwolle in the Netherlands. He is the probable author of The Imitation of Christ (c. 1427), one of the most widely read works of Christian literature.
