Edward Lee Thorndike
Thorndike, Edward Lee (1874–1949), U.S. psychologist best known for devising tests to measure intelligence, learning, and aptitude. His system of psychology, connectionism, had a profound influence on U.S. school education techniques, especially his discovery that the learning of one skill only slightly assists in the learning of another, even if related.
