Spencer Tracy
Tracy, Spencer (1900–67), U.S. film actor. During his career he appeared in more than 70 films over 37 years and won Academy Awards for Captains Courageous (1937) and Boys' Town (1938). His pairing with Katharine Hepburn in several movies, including Woman of the Year (1942) and Adam's Rib (1949), made them one of Hollywood's most famous cinematic couples.
