Vaginitis
Vaginitis, inflammation of the vagina, occurring particulary in women of childbearing age. Under normal circumstances, balanced quantities of various bacteria, fungi, and protozoa are present in the vagina. When the balance of these organisms is disrupted and larger amounts of organisms are allowed to reproduce at larger and faster rates, vaginitis occurs. Vaginitis can be triggered by pregnancy, lack of sleep, and poor health and diet. Common symptoms include swelling, itching, and vaginal discharge.
