Viroid



Viroid, class of infectious agents, causing several plant diseases. Made up of a complex chain of RNA (ribonucleic acid) molecules, they are replicated by the host cell's enzymes. Viroids affect such plants as potatoes, tomatoes, hops, and avocadoes, among others.
