Bruno Walter
Walter, Bruno (Bruno Walter Schlesinger; 1876–1962), German-born U.S. conductor. He was a protégé of Gustav Mahler, but his career in Europe was cut short by the Nazis (they forced him to leave), and he lived in the United States from 1939.
