Thomas Edward Watson
Watson, Thomas Edward (1856–1922), U.S. author and political leader from Georgia. He attacked blacks, socialists, Catholics, and Jews. A Farmers' Alliance representative (1891–93) and Democratic U.S. representative (from 1920), he ran as a populist vice presidential and presidential candidate (1896, 1904, respectively).
