Weakfish



Weakfish, or squeteague, any of a genus (Cynoscion) of saltwater fishes used for food, measuring 1–2 ft (30–61 cm) long or more. Its name comes from the fact that it has a weak, fleshy mouth that is easily torn. It is found along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts of the United States.
