Werewolf

Werewolf, in folklore, a man who can supernaturally turn into a wolf and devour humans. The belief dates from Greek legend and was widespread in medieval Europe and in the 19th-century Balkans. The psychiatric condition of lycanthropy involves the belief that one is a werewolf or other beast.
