Walter Francis White



White, Walter Francis (1893–1955), U.S. author and a secretary of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (1931–55). His works include Rope and Faggot (1929), an attack on the lynching of blacks, and his autobiography, A Man Called White (1948).
