Zebu

Zebu, or Brahman ox (Bos indicus), ox found in India, Africa, and Asia. It has a hump on its shoulders and a dewlap under the chin. The horns are large, up to 5 ft (1.5 m) in the ankole cattle of Uganda. Zebus are used as draft animals and for milk and meat. They react to heat well and have been introduced to many areas with hot climates, including the southern United States, where they are immune to the Texas fever carried by cattle ticks.
