Prince Albert

Albert, Prince (Francis Charles Augustus Albert Emmanuel; 1819–61), prince consort of Great Britain, husband of Queen Victoria. German-born son of the Duke of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, he married Victoria in 1840 and served as her trusted adviser. He was active in promoting fine arts.
