Bing Crosby



Crosby, Bing (Harry Lillis Crosby; 1904–77), U.S. singer and film actor. A big-band singer known for crooning, he performed on radio, records, and in films, including the Road series with Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour. He won an Academy Award for his performance in Going My Way (1944). His rendition of “White Christmas” was the best selling record until 1997, when Elton John rerecorded “Candle in the Wind.”
