Charles Gates Dawes
Dawes, Charles Gates (1865–1951), U.S. politician who shared the 1925 Nobel Peace Prize for the plan named after him. Vice president under Calvin Coolidge (1925–29), he was later ambassador to Great Britain (1929–32).
