Dearborn



Dearborn (pop. 89,286), city in southeast Michigan, on the River Rouge 10 mi (16 km) west of Detroit. Dearborn grew rapidly after World War I. It is the center of the Ford motor company. It now also produces aircraft parts, farm machinery, metal goods, and air-conditioning equipment. Among its attractions are the Edison Institute of Technology and the Henry Ford Museum.
