Walter John De La Mare
De La Mare, Walter John (1873–1956), English poet and novelist. His work, much of which was intended for children, is characterized by its evocation of the atmosphere of dreams and the supernatural. His best-known works are the novels Henry Brocken (1904) and Memoirs of a Midget (1921), and the children's poetry collection Peacock Pie (1913).
