Dengue
Dengue, or breakbone fever, infectious disease characterized by sudden onset of headache, fever, prostration, severe joint and muscle pain, and swollen glands. A rash appears with a second temperature rise following a period without fever. The disease is caused by a virus transmitted by the mosquito Aedes aegypti.
