Deutschland über Alles

Deutschland über Alles, or “Germany Above All Else,” the German national anthem from 1922 until the division of Germany after World War II. In 1952 the Federal Republic of Germany adopted the song's third stanza as its anthem. “Deutschland über Alles” was composed by Hoffmann von Fallersleben in 1841.
