Paul Adrien Maurice Dirac

Dirac, Paul Adrien Maurice (1902–84), English theoretical physicist. He shared the 1933 Nobel Prize in physics with E. Schrödinger for their contributions to wave mechanics. Dirac's theory (1928) took account of relativity and implied the existence of the positive electron, or positron, later discovered by CD. Anderson. Dirac was also the codeveloper of Fermi-Dirac statistics.
