Doberman pinscher
Doberman pinscher, breed of dog originating in Germany. Developed by Louis Dobermann in the late 1800s, it is prevalent in guard and police work because of its alertness, intelligence, loyalty, and excellent sense of smell. Dobermans average 24–28 in (61–71 cm) shoulder height and are generally black with rust-colored markings.
