Doha

Doha (pop. 217,000), or Ad Dawhah, capital of the Middle Eastern state of Qatar. Once a small fishing village, it developed into a major port of the Persian Gulf and important commercial center when Qatar's oil production began in the 1950s. Doha contains the majority of the country's people.
