Du Maurier

Du Maurier, name of 2 English novelists. George Louis Palmella Busson du Maurier (1834–96), caricaturist, illustrator, and novelist, is best known for his novels Peter Ibbetson (1891) and Trilby (1894). Daphne Du Maurier (1907–89), his granddaughter, wrote romantic novels. Her most famous work is Rebecca (1938).
