Electric furnace

Electric furnace, furnace powered by electricity and used for melting, alloying, and heat-treating steel alloys and for manufacturing high-speed tools. The chamber, salt bath, arc, and induction furnaces produce temperatures up to 1500°C and can melt 100 tons of steel.
