Empire State Building
Empire State Building, office building in New York City. Rising 1,250 ft (381 m), it is one of the highest buildings in the world. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in New York, and on a clear day there is a 50-mile (80.5-km) view from the top of its 102 stories. It was built in 1930–31 and designed by the architectural firm Shreve, Lamb and Harmon.
