United States Employment Service

Employment Service, United States, agency of the U.S. Department of Labor. As part of the Employment and Training Administration, this agency helps match employees with employers and visa versa. Also known as USES, it sets national policies for public employment services, provides a network of computerized job banks, and dispenses funds for state employment services, of which there are about 2,200 offices.
