Eskimo dog
Eskimo dog, large, wolflike Arctic dog, used in teams to draw sleds and for hunting. The name is often used to include the Alaskan malamute and Siberian husky breeds. The Eskimo dog generally weighs 50–85 lbs (23–39 kg) and stands 16–18 in (40–45 cm). Its long, coarse coat and oily undercoat protect it from cold and dampness.
