Extraterrestrial intelligence

Extraterrestrial intelligence, intelligent life originating outside the earth and its atmosphere. While none has been discovered, scientists engaged in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI) have been scanning the sky for radio frequencies that cannot be accounted for by natural phenomena and might indicate the existence of such life.
