Manuel de Falla



Falla, Manuel de (1876–1946), Spanish composer. He studied in Madrid and Paris, and his work was heavily influenced by Maurice Ravel and by native Andalusian folk music. His works include the ballets El Amor Brujo (1915) and The Three-Cornered Hat (1917), the opera La Vida Breve (1905), and Nights in the Gardens of Spain (1916), for piano and orchestra.
