Farsightedness
Farsightedness, or hyperopia, defect of vision in which light entering the eye from nearby objects comes to a focus behind the retina instead of on it. Near objects are blurred; far objects are seen clearly. The condition may be corrected by wearing eyeglasses with convex lenses.
