Field Museum of Natural History
Field Museum of Natural History, Chicago museum housing one of the largest and best-known natural history collections in the world. Founded by the merchant and philanthropist Marshall Field I in 1893, the museum currently has more than 13 million objects in the fields of anthropology, botany, geology, and zoology.
