Harvey Samuel Firestone
Firestone, Harvey Samuel (1868–1938), U.S. industrialist, founder of one of the largest rubber companies in the world, the Firestone Tire & Rubber Company. His million-acre rubber plantation in Liberia played a large role in that country's economic development starting in 1926.
