Edward Joseph Flanagan
Flanagan, Edward Joseph (1886–1948), Irish-born U.S. Roman Catholic priest who founded Boys Town, a self-governing community of homeless boys, near Omaha, Nebr., in 1917. After World War II he helped organize youth facilities abroad for the U.S. government.
