Gingivitis

Gingivitis, inflammation of the gums. Symptoms include swelling, redness, and tenderness of the gums, which may bleed with chewing and toothbrushing. Daily use of dental floss and prompt care by a dentist to clean the plaque from the teeth is the best treatment, before increasing inflammation leads to loosening of the teeth and periodontitis.
