Gnatcatcher

Gnatcatcher, genus (Polioptila) of small, insect-eating birds of the Western Hemisphere, from the Old World warbler family, Sylviidae. Two species, the blue-gray and the black-tailed, are found in the United States. Others are found in Central and South America.
