Gordon setter

Gordon setter, breed of hunting dog dating from 17th-century Scotland. Its superior sense of smell and retrieving ability make it an excellent hunting companion. The Gordon setter adapts well to families and has a natural guarding instinct. It weighs 55 to 75 lb (24 to 33 kg) and reaches 23 to 25 in (59 to 64 cm) at the shoulder. Its long coat is black and tan.
