Hamilton

Hamilton (pop. 599,800), city in the province of Ontario, Canada, built on the plain between a landlocked harbor on Lake Ontario and the 250-ft (76-m) Niagara escarpment. Hamilton is heavily industrialized, being Canada's largest iron and steel producer. It is also a major Great Lakes port.
