Hamilton
Hamilton (pop. 62,368), industrial town in southwest Ohio on the Great Miami River, seat of Butler County. Local products include coated paper, safes, presses, parts for automobiles and aircraft, textiles, and machinery and machine tools. The town was founded in 1794 as Fairfield, and later renamed after U.S. political leader Alexander Hamilton.
