Hamites

Hamites, peoples inhabiting eastern Africa, especially Somalia and Ethiopia, and northern Africa, where they are known as Berbers. Strictly speaking, Hamitic is a linguistic classification rather than an ethnic one. Many believe that the Hamitic-speaking peoples originated on the Arabian peninsula, but this is not at all certain.
