Mark Hanna



Hanna, Mark (1837–1904), U.S. Republican politician and industrialist whose financial backing helped bring about William McKinley's victory over William Jennings Bryan in the 1896 presidential elections. Hanna was appointed and subsequently elected U.S. Senator from Ohio (1897–1904) and remained a close presidential adviser.
