Hay fever

Hay fever, common allergy to the pollen of grasses and trees. Symptoms include rhinitis (runny nose) and conjunctivitis (itching eyes). Susceptibility is often associated with asthma, eczema, and aspirin sensitivity. Possible treatment includes avoiding the things to which the person is allergic, desensitizing injections, antihistamines (drugs that can reduce the severity of attacks), or steroid sprays in difficult cases.
