Hebron
Hebron (pop. 80,000), city in Jordan, located near Jerusalem on the West Bank, one of the oldest cities in the world. Part of Palestine until 1950, the city has religious significance for Jews, Muslims, and Christians alike. Hebron is a center of marketing, industry, and administration for the West Bank region. Israel occupied the city following the 1967 Arab-Israeli War.
