Hemorrhoid
Hemorrhoid, commonly called pile, varicose veins of the rectum or anus that may either be internal and bleed frequently, thus producing anemia, or become large and protrude from the anus, causing pain and discomfort. There is no known cause, although they are more common in pregnant women and in those with cirrhosis of the liver. The pain and discomfort can be relieved by the application of suppositories, and they can be treated by the injection of an irritant fluid that will cause scarring around the hemorrhoid and so obstruct it. Surgery can also be employed to close hemorrhoids off. All hemorrhoids should be treated by a doctor. They mimic the early signs of cancer of the rectum and colon, making a proper diagnosis vital.
