Sidney Howard
Howard, Sidney (1891–1939), U.S. playwright whose work is noted for its realism. He won the 1925 Pulitzer Prize with They Knew What They Wanted (1924). Other well-known plays include Lucky Sam McCarver (1925) and The Silver Cord (1926).
