Hundred Days



Hundred Days, in French history, period between Napoleon's return to Paris from exile on Elba and the second Bourbon restoration (Mar. 20-June 28, 1815). During this time Napoleon attempted to reinstate himself as ruler of France on a more liberal basis. He was defeated at Waterloo, and Louis XVIII was restored to the French Throne.
