Hydrofluoric acid

Hydrofluoric acid, inorganic chemical compound (HF), also called hydrogen fluoride, formed when hydrofluoric gas is dissolved in water. It is used industrially in manufacturing aluminum, in etching glass, and as a catalyst for chemical reactions.
