Hypochondria
Hypochondria, or hypochondriasis, mental condition involving undue anxiety about real or supposed ailments, usually in the belief that these are incurable. The source of hypochondria was once thought to be the hypochon-drium, that part of the abdomen containing the spleen and liver.
